I'm not as offended by his earring the way some others are.
Personally I think it looks a bit tacky on him,but I'm not going to preach that it's a sin or anything.

But if he indeed wore the earring, then had someone go to touch up the photo to make it seem like he wasn't wearing one (which is what appears to be the case) then it raises a bit of a character issue in my mind; as in, if you're going to wear it in the first place,why cover it up afterward?

I believe the best thing to be is conservative in dress and lifestyle. By doing this, one does not offend and can minister to more people.

To me such actions, cause Jakes to be more limited to his ethnic background. Most white men will take offense to this.

In the late 90s, I liked Jakes. I even went to his church a couple of times in 2002. However, I stopped listening to him some time back because he seems to be preaching too many social concerns and not enought meat of the Word.

Yes, they pierced the ear with an aul, but that was OT as the more liberal like to say. ;-)

There was a video of him on E! being interviewed either before or after the wedding, and the earring was very clear. I don't really care either way, so am just making an observation.
