I think he is just as tired of seeing what he perceives as apostate as I was tired of seeing men of God sending everyone who disagreed with man-made standards straight to hell.
Eventually you find some middle ground if you feel this is a place you'd like to stick around and hang out at. Most of us are here to argue our own viewpoints, and to stay connected to friends. If that's not for you, stop grumbling and move on.
