No. I do not. For the most part, it is not a biblical doctrine as much as it is a personal preferance. I am persoanlly not bothered by this. It was stated for the sake of the children and other reasons.

Absolutely not! My point was that author of this thread is intentionally misrepresenting the majority opinion on CAF on this subject. For whatever reason, I can't begin to speculate, he has chosen to try and run down that forum. I would suggest that 20 percent is unacceptable but I don't think that 20 percent is the actual number. The poll he started got a total of about 30 responses and 40 votes and faded off into obscurity within 2 days. I never saw it and never voted in the poll. So add 1 more to the "no problem with it" catergory. I suggest that if another poll was taken and kept alive for a week or so the percentages would even lower. Low enough to be considered statistically insignifficant. this thread was started with the express purpose of degrading another forum. I'm just setting the record strait.

I went back and read the thread at CAF with this "poll"

This particular thread is 3 pages long and no one necessarily posted against interracial marriage.

Correct, I was posting as you were.

As to why he left CAF, we only have speculations, but I do remember him and the way that he posted.

Let's be fair about this...some of them simply believe they would advise against such marriages because of the issues they might face in a particular culture...I am assuming in the south or something. That does not mean they are against inter- racial marriages or are racists.

However I think it should totally be THEIR choice and not anyone elses. I don't personally believe a pastor should offer such advice since what is good for a marriage is the character of those getting married

Either way the pastor should have not said this however I have myself met many pastors who are so freaked out by interracial marriages its hysterical!
