Re: The Treatment of Bush Has Been a Disgrace

The result of all the Democratic finger pointing and lying and the partiality of the left leaning media to focus on it. This is exactly why they said "When Obama is president we will go through tough times, but we will need your support, don't give up on us (like we did to Bush) " (paraphrase)

Re: The Treatment of Bush Has Been a Disgrace

Bush has been condemned for the Irag Way and I think those who condemned him should consider this:

F. D. Roosevelt (DEMOCRAT) led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us; Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ... an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman (DEMOCRAT) finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost ... an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy (DEMOCRAT) started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.

Johnson (DEMOCRAT) turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost ... an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton (DEMOCRAT) went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and, North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. And the Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno (DEMOCRAT) to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton (DEMOCRAT) to find the Rose law firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida !!!

Re: The Treatment of Bush Has Been a Disgrace

Surely the treatment of Bush in the media couldn't be any worse than Obama's treatment on this board.

Great post George. Homeland, security, partial birth abortion, conservative judges and yet he does not get too much credit. Sure there are some things we all disagree with, and I also think we will appreciate him a few years from now.

On spending...you realize spending has to be approved by congress? And more spending bills get sent to Bush and he must approve them...So don't just blame Bush but blame the folks on capital hill.

War Crimes? Such as? Oh wait...he lied. Did he? Democrats on the security comm saw the same intel he saw..they voted for the war...then they saw how much the world was against us and then they rather slickly turned against Bush and the war as though they were never for it

They adapted the whole thing into a convenient "Blame Bush for Everything" campaign...even hurricanes. Good grief. But you think maybe that is why Obamas people are warning their supporters to keep on supporting him once he gets into office? Think about it. They set the tone...blame the president for everything that happens...even things he was not responsible for...might come back to bite them

As for leaving ??? Maybe you should!!! If your going to live here, please know the History!!!

The early presidents and patriots were generally Deists or Unitarians, believing in some form of impersonal Providence but rejecting the divinity of Jesus and the absurdities of the Old and New testaments.

Quote:
The men responsible for building the foundation of the United States had little use for Christianity, and many were strongly opposed to it. They were men of The Enlightenment, not men of Christianity. They were Deists who did not believe the bible was true.

"As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion, - as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen, - and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
