Supreme Court Won't Review Obama's Eligibility for Presidency

WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court has turned down an emergency appeal from a New Jersey man who says President-elect Barack Obama is ineligible to be president because he was a British subject at birth.


The court did not comment on its order Monday rejecting the call by Leo Donofrio of East Brunswick, N.J., to intervene in the presidential election.

Obama has not produced his birth certificate but for a badly forged secondary document said by the unknowing to be his birth certificate.

“Mr. and Mrs. Barack H. Obama, 6085 Kalaniaaole Hwy., son, Aug. 4,” the announcement said


This same article explains how the rumor got started about Obama not being born in the US.

Thanks for trying TK Burk but I think their factual reporting lacks much. I don't have time to back up what I say with the proofs but others can.

1. The certificate that was on the internet has been shown by forensic examiners to be a forgery with detailing that allows us lay people to understand how they arrived at the conclusions they did.

2. Obama's sister who was not born in Hawaii likewise has this same type of document that was posted on the internet because of a loophole in Hawaii law which allows foreign births to register with the state in particular circumstances.

3. Note the very specific language Hawaii used when "confirming" the actual birth certificate. They did not say it was from Hawaii. They did not say it was authentic.

4. The birth announcement was likely garnered from registered births given the scant detail. Foreign births could be registered under specific circumstances "in accordance with state policies and procedures." The announcement does not say that Obama was born in Hawaii.

5. Why doesn't it bother the media that Obama hasn't released his actual birth certificate (with doctor and hospital on it); his school records; his medical information?

His selective service registration? Oh wait! It was found to be FRAUDULENT! I guess that is why it wasn't released. You think?

AND FOR THE RECORD- The article is nonsense as to how the rumor got started. Obama can have his official birth certificate released at any time he chooses. (The public can't get it any other way). But he would rather spend $800,000 on three law firms to fight a dozen lawsuits about the issue. WHY?

TK Burk- I am sorry. I didn't mean to suggest that you wrote that piece of poor journalism that assumed much more than what was said by Hawaiin officials.

I hate not having time to reference what I write. But I made specific points that I would be interested in anyone finding a fact to the contrary.

The Supreme Court has another conference meeting this Friday concerning a second lawsuit that is somewhat similar, but better-drafted and has a cleaner procedural history behind it.

There are others in the pipeline. It's not over yet.
