Re: Praise report!!! Tumors dead!!!!

Awesome report! And I sure am glad I reread the title, because when I first saw it, I thought it said, "Praise Report!!! Tamors Dead!!!"

I wondered for a sec if there was something I didn't know!!

another update......

Bro Willoughby's Singapore Homecoming
Tuesday 10th February 2009

Dear Friends

Last week, I shared with you the results of Bishop Willoughby’s first test results after undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the US. Tonight, I share with you what the oncologists shared with Bro Willoughby in his own words. As I write this email to you, Bro Willoughby is on a plane headed to Singapore. He has been away for close to 100 days fighting the greatest battle of his life – a battle for life itself. He has not fought alone because countless individuals like you have stepped in and stood in the gap, interceding on his behalf.

These now are Bro Willoughby’s own words:

“I got good reports from New York. The oncologist who ordered the body scan said, "It is a good report. There are five tiny (millimeters) pinpoints that may or may not be a problem." He was pleased with the result. The radiologist was very pleased as the small tumor had "significantly shrunk" and the larger one had marginally shrunk". When George Jones ask her did she consider them dead she said, "Yes". She went on to tell us that at this point (two months after diagnosis) she most often had to give bad news and often tell the person that their brain was "peppered with tumors". When George asked her about prognosis she said, "We don't talk about cure but I have had some men who have lived a few good years." I told her that she was going to be surprised that I was going to get well. George told her that we were people of faith and were believing God. I think her remark was that we were off to a good start. It was recommended that I take another course of the chemo (6 weeks on and 2 wks off) and then take the tests again and see where we are. I know that Jesus is granting me more time to do His will and his work.”

The next time I write you, I will share with you Bro Willoughby’s Singapore homecoming.

Full of thanks for all of God’s mercies

Sandra Subner

Re: Praise report!!! Tumors dead!!!!

I am going to jack your thread for a few.
I got an email from my oldest sister today. Here is what it says.

"Got some great news at the doctor’s on Monday, I have graduated and will no longer have to see the oncologist unless problems would arise. Being kicked out of an oncologist practice is the most exciting and wonderful thing that could happen. I will see Dr. Kearney for annuals but that is normal. The two women in the waiting room when I was checking out with Karen cheered and when they did that the tears flowed. You would have thought we were old friends and was rejoicing in a special occasion. I wished them God speed and God willing I will never have to visit that office again. On the way home I got to thinking about the women that don’t graduate and my heart was heavy yet I was so happy. We celebrated by eating breakfast with Ginger and before we left Henrietta we stopped at Bruster’s and I got a double waffle cone with four flavors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

When we were moving to Phoenix she was finding out she needed a hysterectomy. I was scared. My sister is like a mother to me. I love my mom and all but with her getting older and having that nasty alzheimer's I was worried what would happen if God allowed my sister to go on to be with Him instead of let her get better. I remember the day she told me that God had given her peace with whatever the outcome was. It was like the peace he had given her was transfered to me in that conversation. This was the best news to get today.

Our God is a great and mighty God. He has been so good to us. I am so thankful that he let me have her around a while longer.

Home Sweet Home - Bishop Steve Willoughby is Back in Singapore!
Wednesday 11th February 2009

Dear Friends,

Home Sweet Home

Chaos erupted tonight (Wednesday evening) at Changi Airport as Bishop Steve Willoughby returned to Singapore after a three and a half month unexpected sojourn in America. Greeted by family and Tabernacle of Joy saints, Bro Willoughby was delighted and relieved to be home at last. Although tired from the long journey, Bro Willoughby looked well.

Now that he is home, Bro Willoughby's priority is to give undivided attention and time to his family and his church, Tabernacle of Joy. As he is currently on an oral chemotherapy regime, any ministry activities he engages in will now be confined to Singapore. We seek your understanding at this time that Bro Willoughby may be unable to honor all of his speaking engagements previously scheduled for this year. Please note that any messages, notes or words of encouragement that you send are forwarded on to the Willoughbys.

We, at Tabernacle of Joy, are continuing to believe that Bro Willoughby will be completed healed and delivered from cancer and it is the same prayer that we have for Sis Willoughby. There are not enough words to express our sincere thanks to you who have prayed, interceded and fasted on behalf of the Willoughbys. We will continue to provide you with progress reports on the Willoughbys.

Attached are some photos of Bro Willoughby's arrival at Changi Airport.

Rejoicing always

Sandra Subner
