Twilight movie/book....
Have any of you on here read the Twilight books and or seen the movie? I saw the movie last week when I bought the dvd and I enjoy the movie very well. In fact I have watched it a few times. I was wondering if anyone has read the books and seen the movie, because I loved the movie so much and I am wanting to read the books but I have heard that the movie is very different than the movie. I don't want to read the book or even listen an audio book of it if it is not worth it. I am not a huge reader, but I enjoyed the movie so much and want to find out what the next part of the story is. So what do you all say?

I've read the books, not seen the movie. From what I've heard, the movie was pretty true to the book. If you enjoyed it, you'll probably like the books.

Definitely not tough reads! Some people don't like book two as well as some of the others. But none of them are tough reads.

Great movie. Heard they were pretty true to the book as well, though I haven't read any yet.

I have read reviews of the 'New Moon' and they have been really good. I also read that the second book changes the story quiet abit.

Re: Twilight movie/book....
The book is many times better than the movie as is usually the case. The books are not as nearly well written as Harry Potter but have their moments and in particular Stephanie Meyer's development of the characters is great.
Book two is the weakest of the four in my opinion. At least most of it. Books three and four are great but all need to be read in the correct order or you will not know what is going on.
Twlight the fllm only cost $37 million to make and was a surprise world hit grossing $373 million dollars. The second book, New Moon, begins filming this week.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I read that Drew Barrymore is wanting to audition for some character from the third book. Not sure the character or anything, but she's a pretty big fan I guess.

Re: Twilight movie/book....
I am a big fan of this series or at least I believe I will be once that I have read on. I have even thought about getting an audio book. I am listening to an part of it now and it is really good. I process better when actually reading but I hate sitting down to read something. My mind is way, way too active.

I'd pretty much agree with that assessment, except I actually thought book 1 was the weakest...too much raving about how perfect Edward was.
I was pretty critical of the books before I read them, but my wife was a big fan and told me I needed to shut up and read them before I criticized, so I did. Turns out they weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I wasn't in love with them or anything, but Meyers does do a great job of character development and the books do hold your interest.
