Born To Be Wild! This Sunday

By popular request, the "Sermonator" will be riding a Harley Sportster (my son's) into the sanctuary and up on the platform next Sunday. We had a blast with this last year on Father's Day and people can't wait to invite their friends etc. to this years event as well. I will be preaching a message about Christian men being men and not having to feel like they can't be competitive, aggressive etc. Ohio Bike Week was this week and we had thousands of bikers descend upon us. However, I think Father's Day is the best time to do this. It really gets people's attention and opens their hearts to hear a gospel message.

What do you think?

Good idea? Bad idea? I guarantee that we will exceed the fun limit!

Re: Born To Be Wild! This Sunday

I read somewhere that the late Aimee Semple McPherson roared down the aisle of Angelus Temple on a motorcycle. She was dressed in a police uniform. When she reached the platform, she skidded to a stop, stood to her feet with her hand upheld and palm outward and shouted, "Stop. You're going to Hell!"

If it was good enough for Sister Aimee it ought to be good enough for MOW.
She set an Apostolic precedent.

You sir, are a heathen, and nothing good will come of this............

And I hope God pours out of His Spirit, and you baptize many and have many receive the Holy Ghost.
