I attend a fairly large growing church that has great music etc. The other day I was reading an ad by another church in town. It said "Why come to our church? You won't have to ask yourself if you are just going to see the band". (They call the musicians 'the band' at my church.) This was what seemed to me an obvious slam on the church I attend. I saw other ads from this church that were similar. I figure if all folks can do to build their church is say why another church is somehow bad or wrong, that is a church I am not interested in attending.

The answer to the question doesn't make sense. You won't have to ask yourself why you should go to this other church if you are going to that church just to see the band?

I agree. It seemed to me just a way to slam the other church.
I am not sure anyone was brought to church and converted because of the signs placed by a particular individual in our city...it just got him on the TV and radio.
