Exactly!

Hmmm... could it be they're more invested in building the Kingdom than increasing their numbers?

I dont think so....RR, you know that human will dictates weather one stays in church or not...POA is "SOUL DRIVEN"...they do there part...but any church knows that the human power of choice can change it all.

YOU are right though...MOST churches dont have a clue how to keep folks.

That was my point. Some are quick top defend POA, which is admirable. But some are also quick to blame those churches that lose people to them as not knowing how to have church. I think that if we were honest we all know that is not always the case.

I wonder how many Apostolic church's lose more then they keep?

Would you not baptize a sincere believer if you know that in 2 days or 2 months or 2 years down the road they'd leave?

This is true but some men seem to have a gift of leadership and are very skilled and adept at keeping people. They have that way of making people feel good when they're around them and people want to be part of what they're doing. There's a number of things that are a part of that mix.

Just when I think you are a pretty good dude...you say something stupid!

That church is a family magnet!
I know...my wifes DAD stopped pastoring when she was 13 just to take them to the POA so she couls be around more than little churches...TO this day she will tell you that had he not done that...she would probably not be in church today.

C.Mon Epely....Please tell me that you are not even going to attempt to try to validate your opinion of the likes of GA and Vesta Mangun. That church was built on more prayer and fsating than ANY of its kind......YOU know why they have the biggest crowd in the UPCI?....The reap what they have sown...

Folks come, feel God..get baptized, HG...etc.... But guess what...the power of the human will steps into play....they stay or they leave....Is that the fault of the POA or the Manguns? NO WAY...they are there doing what the church is supposed to be doing.....IF they stay or if they go....is a matter of human will and dedication.
Really?

False Advertising

I honestly don't get you people. You get on here and slam Bishop Jakes for preaching a masterpiece and then laying hands on people - People dancing and shouting like your church used too. Rod Parsley shouting and dancing all over the platform - the choir is rockin' and the Hammond is screaming and YOU DON'T LIKE IT!
Then when you are finished chewing on them - you start on POA and the Manguns! "The Dance floor". You are disrespectful to men of God and think you have a corner on what is right. You are DEAD HEAD WRONG!

I was born into a Classical Pentecostal Church and Family and have been to a lot of places and seen lots of faces - but I remain a Classical Pentecostal. To call me or others REPROBATE because we left your denomination shows how immature you are.

When you are sitting in that DEAD CHURCH - that should be labeled a FUNERAL HOME - think of the good time we are having with the HAMMOND B3.
Some of you are deader than the Baptist around here!

TAKE THAT SIGN DOWN THAT SAYS PENTECOSTAL - and most of you are NOT UNITED anyway - FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

Say what you will. Some of us just don't accept the premise that you are the arbiter of what is and isn't Pentecostal - or dead. You can call yourself Pentecostal, Charismatic, apostolic, whatever you please - I don't care - the one label that fits you is rude.
