Okay. Thanks for answering. Not wanting to pry, just wanting some perspective.

You are okay. lol

I have selective amnesia. Comes in handy when I don't want to remember things.

Just some brief highlights. My mom and dad were first generation upc. Raised conservative. Spent a few years of childhood in a couple of independent assemblies which were disasters. When we moved from those areas, we found upc churches in the locations we moved to.

Is this the same Jerry Bernard at the website www.jerrybernard.com ?

Stepping outside of the box was a blessing and a curse.

blessing: Observing things from the outside I was able to see a lot of things. It was apparent to me that many times we as a movement tend to strain at a gnat, and deny that we have swollowed the camel. With the guidance of God, I learned that rules can change, but principles stay the same.

curses: I lost friends. This has been the lonliest and most fearful time of my young life. Life became a rollercoaster.

and now: I'm not very liberal, but I'm not the UC that I once was.

how has it helped: It has helped me gain a sense of balance. Some things are a way of life.. others are just a way of living.

Speaking of Rod Parsely, He is having a Big Golf Beneift at Peeble beach here in northern California to raise money for his ministry. He is inviting a lot of wealthy donors and such to attend. This place is Extremeley Exclusive!!! It's going to be held at a 5 star resort called "the Spa at peeble beach" fit only for the very wealthy & famous.

Get this!!!! It cost $6,000 per person! it incudes Dinner with Rod and Tee time LOL!

what do you think of that ?
