What it sounds like to me is that you threatened him to try and get him to comply. If you were doing the threatening as a joke to just see what he would do that is one thing. But you pretty much just said it was to pressure him into doing what ya wanted. Then when things still didn't work out for you, you then called it a joke. A joke is a much different thing than what you did. When you made those threats it doesn't sound like you were trying to get a laugh out of the situation...

The real question we need answered to help determine if it was a joke or not, what would you have done if your joking threats got him to apologize?

This is one man's feeble attempt to 'right a wrong' done to a brother.

That's all I want to do.

If I am refused that opportunity here, I will seek out other ways.

Please understand. I am not trying to hurt anyone.

All I want to do is 'apologize'.

I am not putting any blame on this young man.

I take it all; but I deny threating him with harm.
