Not always. My issue is this. If your assembly doesn't have a standard on it, and you want to dye your hair, do it. It is between you and God. I don't agree with it, I think it is vanity. But I do have a BIG problem, when a lady is part of a specific assembly that holds to the belief of not dying the hair, and the women just go off and do what they want to anyways.
In my church, anyone who is in "ministry" of any kind (including the choir) has to sign a paper stating that they agree with specific standards, and as representatives of the church, will uphold them. MANY of the women in my church have taken to dying their hair, despite what they agreed to. One particular lady dyes it so much, that her hair is brittle and looks like straw, and every other month is a different shade of her choice color, and she LIES and says she doesn't dye her hair.
It is fake. Do what you are going to do, but don't be a FAKE.

Just a question....why is it that dyeing hair is fake, but wearing deodorant and perfume isn't?
I mean, that's not disagreement, but it seems we pick and choose what 'fake' is and ignore other things we do to prevent the 'au naturale' appearance.....which I'm happy they do!

Well, I dye my hair, but it is a very natural color and lighter than my original one. It definitely makes me look younger than the gray would, and trust me, underneath I'm almost all gray! Actually, I don't dye it myself; I have it done and it is healthy and conditioned. Hair dye actually makes your hair have more strength and body; my hair is naturally very fine and thin. Dyeing it is good for mine. Some of those stories about hair dye drying out your hair, etc.--those are just old wives' tales. If you have it done professionally, and they don't use bleach products, it is really good for your hair.
Who needs a barbie ,I've got my holy hottie of a wife for my doll.
