Seriously if they stick by no jewelry on the men, don't some of the preachers wear cuff links to GC ?
Also ain't some of the high heels wore by the sisters a bit much in the extreme stilletho fashion ?
I'm not taking jabs, modesty is important I understand.
How about tie tacks?

7. Hair must be worn in a neat fashion. If you have cut your hair in the past and have been restored, your hair must be fixed to look uncut, if possible.
8. No jewelry of any kind except engagement and/or wedding ring and watch.
9. No make-up, no colored fingernails or toenails.
Modest apparel draws attention to the countenance. Let your countenance testify to the joy of the Lord in your heart!
#7 seems deceptive? I don't think I would feel comfortable if I have to "hide" something? Shouldn't we celebrate if someone has been restored?
Now before anyone gets in a tizzy, I don't mean "flaunt" anything. I mean celebrate the fact they have been restored to the Lord NOT a set of man made rules.
#8: What about all of those gaudy watches or shiny/fancy belts etc...
#9: Does this include the "French" or "American" mani/pedi? I just went to Tx Women's Conf this last weekend and this was ALL OVER THE PLACE. do they not realize they have to use colored fingernail polish for these also? I mean if we are gonna get nit picky lets get nit picky!
And saddest of all is that there is little to nothing about demonstrations of the Fruit of the Spirit, Godly living and stellar character (to name a few). Shouldn't these things matter more?
I hope someone really addresses all these issues and just not let them slip by at this confrence and all these issues get looked at and really thought out..
I really wouldn't quibble about #7, if it just said: All women wear their hair up. At least that accomplishes uniformity. But to make it for the purpose of hiding cut hair just seems wrong to me.
Almost like it's a little filter for those who DO CURRENTLY cut their hair, e.g., "Attention: Hide your cut hair! Thanks, the Management."

Hilarious! You are right tho...you do have to use "colored" nail polish. I've always wondered why WHITE is an acceptable color on your nails, but nothing else is...hmmm...makes me wonder somedays.
