I read a story a guy wrote about his dog. He had a lot of problems with it behaving, aggression and such. The dog had a previous owner so he thought there was some problems from the past. He spent a lot of money taking it to vets and pet therapists. He actually changed the name of the dog because apparently they thought hearing its name brought up some of the unpleasant memories from the past which caused misbehavior.

that is prevalent in our society, imo, and a symptom of not being in the moment. Kids are encouraged to multitask; there are even classes for it now!
