I have heard of one church already started from that group and others are visiting other churches? But what do I know?
Once had a pastor quit (just before we kicked him out ) and took 1/3 of the members with him to start a new church in the same town. Hmmmm. Took 1/3 with him..... Why does that sound so familiar?

Are you speaking of the Memphis church? That I do not know about.
As far as my own, the way I look at it, is if they cannot WAIT then they need to go somewhere else anyway.
Who needs someone that is UNFAITHFUL?
It can also go both ways! If those people cannot be counted on to wait, then they really may be happier someplace else, which would be better for the church in question anyway. If people are not happy with the church they are at, that is something that can certianly cause trouble.
And who would make THEM the judge of what is God's will? A church is NOT like "Burger King" you CANNOT "have it your way"!
And I could turn it around on you, Let that same church "settle" for just "anyone" in a short amount of time and they can end up with a hireling.
Sorry, but I think your logic is flawed.
I am trying to figure out how you can disagree with someone who agrees a church should find a new pastor in "God's time" but is simply pointing out that many times people will use that concept to procrastinate or get used to the status quo while "waiting" on Gods time and may not recognize Gods time when it comes.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Somewhere on here there were even pictures of the new work and the folks starting it? But that is y'alls's business but it has been my experience the longer this drags out it won't be for the good of the church. I know of several cases where good meaning officials turned down many good men because they enjoyed what they were doing.

God's timing for some people may be different than the church's timing.

Would you presume "timing" God removed said pastor was truly "God's timing" or just bad timing by said pastor? Me thinks it is the latter. With that being said, I would believe when it comes to finding a new leader they will probably be a bit more selective & take their time. However, sometimes when you find someone that fits they fit & what would be the "proper timing" goes out the winder (country term).
In a situation like this where people's trust was hurt in a BAD way, their finances perhaps all torn apart & quite possibly more questions than available answers it might take time to heal. I know a church where the pastor "died" & they one that came in afterwards took his / her time to help heal the church. From my understanding that church is doing okay now.

I am also trying to figure out HOW you are reading me wrong! What I was disagreeing with, if you read my post, was people who could not seem to wait on God's timing without becoming impatient and leaving the church simply because THEY thought the waiting was a bit too long for "them"!
To those people, I think it is better they just leave and let the church heal. If they are THAT impatient, then they would never be satisfied waiting for someone to come along anyway.
They would actually be doing the church a favor leaving if all they would do is complain.

Clear enough for you?
Yes. Finally.

TPC is in the process of finding a new Pastor and has been for a while now. This is not something that should be rushed into, nor something that should be put off for any length of time. However, TPC needed a moment for a measure of healing to take place before beginning the process of finding a permanent Pastor. However, TPC has not been "pastorless" during this time. Bro. Brown was voted in as interim Pastor early on and has been faithful in that position. The flock is being fed and ministered to in a mighty way. He is more than capable of pastoring TPC, or any church for that matter. It won't be much longer before TPC has a permanent Pastor and the membership is certainly looking forward to that time. TPC is not avoiding it or putting it off in any way.
