and do you have statistics that show that there is a greater number of SB's that reject the pentecostal experience. I am hearing cases of baptists all over the USA that are accepting tongues for "private prayer". I don't claim that "most" do, but again, the movement is growing, and coming to light more and more.

Margie, I don't know all the theological jargon, but cessation means "a ceasing" or "coming to an end". I'm guessing he means that they believe tongues have ceased.

There are many more baptists who speak in tongues than the SBC would care to admit. They won't be able to stop it. You can't stop a movement.

Exactly! Cessastionists believe that the gifts of the spirit ceased with the passing of the Apostles.
