Because, edjen, it doesn't matter how "spiritual" people seem to be--if they are preaching another Gospel, then we are not to accept it.
We are not to be pleasers of men!!! We are servants of Christ--not men. It is for the good of men to know what constitutes disobedience, so they can correct it, and choose to obey God's commandments.
We rob people of salvation and freedom when we try to be politically correct. We're so afraid that they won't like what they hear that we're willing to let them go to hell instead?
Paul's gospel has a lot to do with a lot of things. I find your question rather surprising.
