But I can relate to what your saying.
"What more can God say outside of his word?" ... you asked. But Bono was hoping to hear LS say something new.

I guess you saw that as well. Not trying to split hairs. How much would you equate the things LS says with the things that "God has to say?"

I agree totally.

He was never a teacher and tried to teach, then got into error. He was genuinely used of the Spirit.

I don't know much about LS.
I agree, Sam. But if Branham were around today and I was sick, he'd the one of the first guys that I would seek for prayer. His theology would take a back seat to healing, for me at least.

Re: Going to see Stoneking tomorrow:

I think anytime someone becomes "popular" then God becomes less. They would be better off sharing what God gave them with others called by God and those people go and share and on and on. Sort of like a church planting movement. That way nobody gets the glory but God.

The church I came out of, really stressed the "respect" of the leaders. This has gotten so bad, that the leaders can do horrid things to the people under them, and until something really, really bad comes of it, nobody will confront the problem. They have more respect for the men than they do for God. But of course, they DO believe they are "Jesus in the flesh" so I guess they think they are respecting Jesus.

Kind of twisted though don't you think? If people are going around as if Jesus is talking and acting through them, and they are NOT doing as Jesus would do, why do people still think they need to "respect" them and obey them?

I disagree about anytime someone becomes popular that God becomes less. God uses popular people all the same as he uses unpopular ones.

Respecting leaders is a different issue. How to respect a leader is often a fine line to walk, especially when you may disagree with them on some things. It's a delicate situation to know when to keep your mouth closed and when to voice concern and almost no one has mastered this.

how about this, any time someone allows popularity to go to their head to promote themselves rather than God.

  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

(Though not all self promoting is bad).

I'm hoping for something other than a prophetic teaching on hair... maybe he'll answer some of my questions if he does!
So, did you see LS or not? Did he answer your questions??

Maybe he's still having LS pray for him to see the light?

Re: Going to see Stoneking tomorrow:

I've noticed, men who become "Untouchable" are in great danger of radical ideals that manipulate. When a man is only known by the Big Meeting and a Great Following, his political platform changes direction, doing whatever it takes to protect his kingdom.

When challenged, his power enables him to suppress those with little voices. He's also capable of keeping those of power in "Check", who might be able to expose the potential darkness in the individual, by the numbers on the book (Money, people, Attorneys who will fight for the corrupt).

Men who build a life of isolation, only in the "Light" of the common folk for very brief periods of time, drift into a fantasy world where they are King, guarding this form of hierarchy to the death.

What really happens is known by the medical field and by many deep studies regarding human nature. As the man abounds in this world of severe success, any threat becomes magnified as evil, even though it may be righteous. He is so used to being praised and lifted up that he must avoid all who oppose him, otherwise fear will plummet his mind into the doldrums of being nothing. His life becomes a constant "Witch Hunt", and the cost is unbearable, leading to the end result of damning the innocent.

His feast is always at the top. His name, always loved. No time is ever really spent in the severe pains of life. Only sputtering moments, that pass by another flee into the mountains where they Rule and where the Mask awaits.
