Some "prophets" belong in jail, IMO.

You are right many who profess aren't. Some have claimed to operate in the office and fruit bore out they were. I've seen it in person. Some don't like titles, but God uses them in that office and they acknowledge it inwardly.

He was AG. They haven't seen a real prophet since they rejected oneness and MICHELOB was written over the door of that place.

That is true, but that was a single incident during a volatile period in the history of the early church. It really isn't a good practice to take a single incident from a historical book and create a precedent for operation. No where in the Epistles…where the church was being taught operational procedure…do we find an exhortation to repeat the A & S scenario.

In our world, my comments have more to do with causing confusion and even getting sued than they do with God being a gentleman.

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

Well. That's nice. But nothing like that is going to happen today. The movement has become so shallow, but shallow water makes for a lot of splashes. I guess feeling a few splashes is all that really matters.

Seems to me this was a combination of a true word of knowledge and a true word of ignorance…...

I have seen many ministers operate in the 5 fold ministry office of a prophet while bringing the sermon message God put on their hearts. Usually it accompanies theygir personal recognition that "that part of the sermon was not in the notes."

You probably can't count how many times ministers in trouble sit in a service and have there mail read from the pulpit. There are instances where they even prophesy to themselves while preaching to others.

Yes…the gift of prophecy and the office of a prophet are still active in the body of Christ. You simply may not be able to recognize it if you have a preconceived idea of what it HAS to look like.

I agree, gifts of word of knowledge/wisdom and prophesy don't make a prophet. The office is a whole different ball game, more like a watchman from the OT but judged by a different standard.

Will happen, and have heard stories, but it takes a lot for it to take place.
