After reading it again, I can see a little clearer what Freeatlast was saying. But I cannot fault Bro Epleys post that came right after his, because I have had to read it a second time to "get it".

Also, if you read Bro Epleys post, you will also see that he is asking Free if this is what he means, not declaring that he means it. He then gives his opinion that he see's it as bordering on being a reprobate, not that he is one. He then states that if this is the case, he will not discuss anything further with Free.

Don't know. But his goodbye thread was not just in the light of this one post, but the amny posts that he see's as attacks on Apostolic doctrine.

Lets face it, when all there is to do around here is defend attacks on the doctrine you hold dear, it starts to get old. Especially when the sign says "Apostolic".

The good bye thread was pretty immediate.

He got pummeled on some other threads for some "racist reamrks" and "judgmentalism" las night.

I was just the straw that broke the back.

*edit* the racist remarks were thought by others to be racist. He just was venting how he felt about mexicans coming in illegally. He did apologize.

Prax, if Elder Epley wants to call me a reprobate for having a disscussion about opposing views.....well then a reprobate I am. No sense arguing with the man. I can wait till we get to the throne...then I'll let Jesus sort it out.

Honestly I don't even see how the word reprobate comes in to begin with...heretical might be a more appropriate word. It seems to me that he just chose the most emotionally charged word he can think of and ran off.

I take the anti Apostolic stuff with a grain of salt...I've been doing apologetics for many years. The racist stuff...I agree with some criticism on the illegal issue, I don't care for how he said it nor do I think he should be called a racist.

That's asinine....being against illegal immigrants from Mexico but being ok with LEGAL immigrants from Mexico makes you a racist in "their" view....really it's no different than what Epley did here with the word reproibate. It's a matter of small minds not being able to have an intelligent conversation and resorting rather to emotional jabs in place of intelligent arguments
