All of Gods creations that he breathes into will live forever. As far as baptizing a cat or any animal, why skould they? Man was the one who sinned and need salvation. Our poor creatures got caught up in our fowl up.
LOL
No ressurection was ever promised for Charlie the Chocolate Lab....

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Since God cares about the sparrows and He also cares about anything and everything that we care about, I somehow believe God understands those that care about their pets and hope to see them again in heaven.
I don't know if pets go to heaven or not but I sure wouldn't mind seeing mine again. Right after seeing my grandparents and other loved ones of course.
I've had so many pets over the years that I'll need my own 40 acres to hold them all but that would be OK too.
I am not in complete disagreement with you, but all of this comes from the notion that heaven is going to be some happy hunting ground where we laugh and play all day in by the crystal sea...
The Bible doesn't say anything about frolicking with our dead pets, but does say we'll be worshipping around the throne.
We forget how we will be changed... I could almost guarantee you won't care about your pets when you see your savior.

nice thought though

I may be the kill joy or the cold rain on the parade or the party pooper... whatever, but
I think anyone who is seriously worried about seeing thier pets in heaven, had better have 100X that concern for the lost people of the world. Why would God take our pets to heaven and let someone die and be away from His presence for eternity????
Timmy would say he wouldn't.. but for those of us who believe the Word of God, we know eternal judgement is one of the foundation stones in Hebrews.
The scriptures about the sparrows and flowers of the fields are being taken out of context.

"Our fowl up"? Was that intentional, or subliminal?

Out of context? I don't think so. The context is how much God cares for PEOPLE using the illustration of how He cares for sparrows and flowers.
Why would God take our pets to heaven? Why not? He cares for us!
