Yes, this would be the same Bro Wayne Flake. He and his wife just moved back here a few years ago. They built a house just a few miles from me.

It was a good musical for the unchurched as the ABC's of the gospel are clearly presented. Acknowledge, Believe, and Claim. There were several who did just that at the end of the presentation.
Sounds like the usual PCI greasy grace claptrap. More easy believism to salve peoples conscience. Did you lead them in the sinners prayer at the end?*

So, CC1, are you saying that cons don't believe that a sinner needs to acknowledge they are sinners, believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and claim Jesus Christ as personal Savior by asking Christ to forgive them of their sins?

The answer is "yes"! Our Children's Ministry Pastor led them in the sinners prayer.

I was thinking the other day. I have never heard anyone testify of reading Acts 2:38 in a motel room or at home and having a conversion experience as a result, but I have heard or read of several who did so while reading John 3:16. Just heard such a testimony the other day!

Even on the Day of Pentecost Peter had to preach John 3:16 before the crowd were convicted of their sins and Peter had opportunity to tell them they needed to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

We don't do the 'Sinner's Prayer', TB, but they have started something new at our church...new as in the last few years (never heard it growing up).

The baptizer says to the one in the pool somethng like this, "Do you believe that Jesus died on the Cross for your sins?" Waits for an answer...

"Do you believe that he was buried and three days later rose from the grave? Upon confession of your faith in the death, burial and resurrection, I now baptize you..."

I'm not knocking it...I think it's a good thing and wonder why it wasn't done this ways years ago.
