I like this version.
Look at the way Mother Maybelle picks that guitar

Or how about this one?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewnfW...eature=related

This one goes back to the time Sarah Carter sang
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWCWj...eature=related

This is part of the family singing the classic

Then there's the later version Pick the Wildwood Flower

Re: Wildwood Flower For Bro.Sam

I just got online tonight and haven't been on the computer all day.

I'm leaving for Texas Thursday morning and won't be online for about a week. I hope I don't suffer withdrawal too bad. I was in Columbus Ohio this weekend and didn't take my laptop. I made it OK the first night but had to use a motel computer for a while Saturday night.

I'm spending too much time on here tonight. I need to work on my message for tomorrow night. Starting in May and continuing on until I don't know when I'm the Wednesday night Bible Study teacher for the adults and our pastor is doing children's church.

Re: Wildwood Flower For Bro.Sam

Regarding the one with Joe Maphis and Merle Travis,
I remember seeing Billy and Bobby McCool both play the same guitar at our ALJC church when they were there for a revival or some special meeting.

Also, Merle Travis lived in Cincinnati for a while.
