Trinitarians calling themselves heretics

http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/...0.html?start=1

Does anyone else find this silly? I mean for me, who holds to a Oneness view of God, this is just plain stupid. For us its one God: Father, Son, Holy Ghost, all the same package. Yet Trinitarians have to constantly try to understand God, and then translate their fallible understanding into imperfect dogma.

I mean even the Catholic-Orthodox split is kind of dumb. The Orthodox Church believe that the Holy Spirit comes from the Father, while the Catholic Church believe that the Holy Spirit comes from the Father and the Son. To us it's kind of like...dude...theirs only One...God comes from God...duh!

The article ends with this question: "What could be more exciting and more important than sharpening each other's understanding of the nature of God?". Umm...saving souls...umm...praying....umm...reading the Bible

Hands down, Oneness Theology is practical and pastoral.

Re: Trinitarians calling themselves heretics

Much of the article (or the mentioned debate) applies to questions that arise within Trinitarianism or Oneness.

ie. the question of submission is difficult when we know both Father and Son are God.

I do agree these are best understood outside of the "persons" terminology though.

Re: Trinitarians calling themselves heretics

Silly, silly,silly.

Real question is, what are these men doing for the kingdom of God? That's what they need to be concerned about. How many souls are they winning? That's what really matters -- not this foolishness they're debating.
