World Vision...

World Vision is a group that we are a part of that helps sponsor Kids throughout the world that are much less fortunate that we are. For $35 a month you can help bring light to a childs world. We get nothing for finding other sponsor aside from the knowing that children across the world is being loved, supported and prayed for (specifically by name) every night.

World Vision acutally goes into camps that are basically nothing more than a group of people and sets up the camp with many resources that help teach, feed and house children. My wife and I are current sponsors and have been fortunate enough to help out a boy from Lebanon and a girl from Sri Lanka. To us there is no greater reward than helping them. Our 4 year old prays for them every night. If any one is interested in becoming a sponsor you can contact me by PM. If you have any questions let me know and I will get an answer for you. Below I have provided a link to the World Vision site. It is very informative. Also if any of you feel that you can't help please don't feel bad or worry. However please pray for us and the children. I know that our donations don't go unnoticed. We have bought school clothing, supplies, shoes and even live stock for our families.

Thanks for reading and considering. If this thread needs to be removed that is fine. I just wanted to spread the word about this place that helps out. There are several famous Christian and secular musical artist that have and are sponsors. Thanks again for your prayers.

Re: World Vision...

We have supported World Vision for the last 11 years. They (World Vision) are supposed to be one of the most reputable non-profit organizations out there.

My daughter just received a letter from her child. She expressed her unending gratitude for supporting her while she was a child. She is now an adult, and has gone on to College to become a nurse. My daughter was ecstatic over this, and I think they will be life long friends.

We constantly get updates on our child, letting us know her progress in health, education, and spiritual support.
