Share your devotion thoughts

I thought I start a thread where we could share are thoughts we get during devotion time. Not something to debate, I know that's hard. So please share any thoughts/scriptures you get, I like to read them.

Re: Share your devotion thoughts

13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom James 3:13

13Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [unobtrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom amplified

read this this am, it shows that true knowledge is shown by good works not heady debate or intellect. True knowledge should lead us to humble service to others.

Not real deep, but something I think we lack sometimes.

Re: Share your devotion thoughts

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

This Scripture means so much to me personally. It's my devotional Scripture for today and came at just the right moment.

It tells me when I look at what's happening in the natural and my mind tries to figure it all out, that I can lean on Jesus and trust Him no matter what the circumstances are saying.

Jeremiah 29:11 (New King James Version)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
