Docetism

How does a Pentecostal handle this?
Docetism - the teaching that Jesus did not come in a real body.

Re: Docetism

Isn't the idea Gnostic and refuted by the Apostle John in his epistles to the church?

Re: Docetism

Does it just mean to confess that He was alive and here?

I bet Mary would strongly disagree,

Having carried him for 9 months and then giving birth....

Re: Docetism

1 John 4:3 and 2 John 1:7. Really, both books were written to address this teaching. This would be where I would start reading and studying in order to handle this teaching.

His body was real, but his flesh was divine. Steve Epley and his friends believe that there was a divine sperm cell involved in the process. Then they contradict themselves when they refute docetism.

Do you believe it was a divine sperm cell?

haven't considered it. I believe that the flesh of Jesus was human, like yours and mine. How it was all conceived, I have no idea.
