Our vending machine in the teachers lounge just ran out of coke (it is always the only soda to ever run out!) so someone gave me a can of Diet Dr Pepper. UGH!!! Who drinks this stuff? Probably the same people who used to like TAB soda in the 70's, that's who! Oh, I'll finish the can because I simply have to have something, but this stuff is terrible.

But, but, the commercials! They say it tastes more like regular Dr. Pepper! Hmm. Maybe they mean Diet DP tastes more like DP than, say, kerosene does.

I have yet to meet anyone who lived in the 70s who liked TAB soda. Of course, I do not know anything about that.
I knew several. Of course it was the first (I believe) diet soda you could get that wasn't simple seltzer water -although plain carbonated water with a bit of lemon is better then TAB
