Our vending machine in the teachers lounge just ran out of coke (it is always the only soda to ever run out!) so someone gave me a can of Diet Dr Pepper. UGH!!! Who drinks this stuff? Probably the same people who used to like TAB soda in the 70's, that's who! Oh, I'll finish the can because I simply have to have something, but this stuff is terrible.

But, but, the commercials! They say it tastes more like regular Dr. Pepper! Hmm. Maybe they mean Diet DP tastes more like DP than, say, kerosene does.

Ya, I suppose it certainly tastes more like regular then let say, carbonated sour unfiltered milk.

One thing it isn't is 'decedent'.

I just wish the admin team here didn't look down at Tequila on school property like they do.

I have yet to meet anyone who lived in the 70s who liked TAB soda. Of course, I do not know anything about that.

I knew several. Of course it was the first (I believe) diet soda you could get that wasn't simple seltzer water -although plain carbonated water with a bit of lemon is better then TAB

I actually drank Tab back in the late 70's. Liked it pretty good at the time.

Real classic Coke is still the best cola ever made!

But I do like Caffeine Free Diet Cokes and the Sam's version is really good too.

I never cared for Root Beer or Dr Pepper.......they always reminded me of medicines! LOL!

that stuff doesnt even have enough caffeine to register. so there is no sugar and not enough caffeine to matter. WHY WOULD YOU DRINK IT?????
