Is that not what happened to those who did not hear, believe and obey
when Jesus told them what to do when they saw some signs. Jerusalem
surrounded by armies. Get out and go to the mountains, Get out and do
not to into Jerusalem. If you are on the rooftop, don't go back down into
your house to get anything., Flee to the mountains, etc., etc.,!!
Those who heard, believed Jesus' words, and obeyed, were not burned
in a furnace of fire as those who did not heed his words. They had ears
but did not "hear". Three and a half years in a furnace of fire.
Just some thoughts!

no it is not.
this is not reffering to the seige of jerusalem. which btw only lasted 143 days.
infact the jews had control of the city in a.d. 66 and was uncontested till 70a.d.
so though i agree we have prophesies that link to the fall of jerusalem everything in the bible is not linked to it....
Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire,.... Not a material, but a metaphorical one; denoting the wrath of God, which shall fall upon wicked men, and abide upon them to all eternity: which is sometimes called hell fire, sometimes a lake which burns with fire and brimstone; and here a furnace of fire, expressing the vehemency and intenseness of divine wrath, which will be intolerable; in allusion either to Nebuchadnezzar's fiery furnace, or as some think, to the custom of burning persons alive in some countries; or rather, to the burning of chaff and stubble, and the stalks of any unprofitable things that grew in the field (f), for the heating of furnaces, and is the very language of the Jews, who used to compare hell to a furnace; so Genesis 15:17 is paraphrased by them (g),
"And behold the sun set, and there was darkness; and lo! Abraham saw until the seats were set, and the thrones cast down; and lo! "hell", which is prepared for the wicked in the world to come, "as a furnace", which sparks and flames of fire surrounded; "in the midst of which", the wicked fell, because they rebelled against the law, in their lifetime.
Which is expressed in much the same language, and conveys the same ideas as here; and no wonder is it that it follows,
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth; declaring the remorse of conscience, the tortures of mind, the sense of inexpressible pain, and punishment, the wicked shall feel; also their furious rage and black despair,
People's New Testament
13:36-43 Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. The parable in Mt 13:24-30. By a comparison we may learn: (1) The kingdom is likened to a man sowing good seed in his field. (2) The Sower is the Son of man, who sows by means of his kingdom. (3) The good seed is the word of God as seen in its fruits, Christ's followers. (4) The field is the world. It is Christ's field. All power is given to him in heaven and in earth. His kingdom is rightfully the whole earth, but much of it is held still by the enemy, who has to be conquered. He will prevail finally, and the kingdoms of the earth shall become the kingdom of the Lord and his Christ. (5) The wheat raised from the good seed is the children of the kingdom, the disciples of Christ converted by his word. (6) The tares are not bad church members, but bad men; those who have been under the influence of the wicked one. (7) The righteous and wicked are to remain in the earth together. The righteous are not to exterminate the wicked. The evil and the good will be mixed until judgment day. (8) Then all shall be gathered at the throne of judgment. The righteous shall inherit the kingdom. All that are wicked shall be cast out of the kingdom. An eternal separation shall take place
then please debate but debating in this specific topic had nothing to do with glutony that you brought up out of no where. which was a personal attack against UT.
Gluttony is sin, and according to UT, sinners will go to Hell. This is what he said:
"Hell is the absolute and fullest manifestation of the judgment of God against sin, and yes, regardless of what men say, it is real. They want God to be so loving that He allows sin, allows unrighteousness, and they themselves have no personal responsibility before God, thus no judgment or justice by Him. Because He is holy, He must hate sin, which by the very nature is contrary to the holiness of God."
Mercy goes both ways. If we allow or have mercy on his gluttony, then we should have mercy on others who have sin in their life. You know what? I don’t care if you eat yourself to death, just don’t come breathing down my neck about my mustache or ring on my finger, or my wife who might cut her hair.

He's beating the "Hell Drum", not me.
again your off topic.
glutony is a sin, lust is a sin. telling lies is a sin, who isnt a sinner? DO YOU WALK everyday with out sin in your life> do you not need to repent and die daily? cmon the man stated he lost like 300 lbs he isnt a gluton any more dude, infact he is rehabilitating. you cant say some one is a gluton cause there over weight. He has made a contious effort to fix it, and it takes time
again cheap shot, you remind me of the dude in the book of John and he said to Jesus are we right in saying your a samaritan with a demon. He took a cheap shot at the Lord in a attempt to try and descredit the Lord and His testimony.
