Sethern, I hate to break this to you, but over here girls are having babies out of wedlock in Oneness Pentecostal churches, even grandchildren of some Pastors of the churches here. Daughters are running around on their husbands. Husbands on wives. It's not a "charismatic" thing.
Sad... In my opinion... Sad... They are being no better then the world... What is wrong with people these days? And Rex? I have no clue, I don't know his first name, only his last name <.<...

I just don't think the term charismatic has anything to do with it. It irritates me a bit when fellow Apostolics refer to everyone who has walked away from pure doctrine as "charismatic".
Right on Kclee!

Conservative Pentecostals have their own definition of "Charismatic" to be sure. But so minuscule is their influence in society or even in religion or the greater Pentecostal movement, that the definition of the term does not even hint at being a dirty word for most.

Re: Charismatic

We can and do talk particulars around here, and though I may be a bit more conservative than he is, I think Rex Johnson is a fine man and leading a fine church. It's preposterous to suggest more children are born out of wedlock there.

LOL! There are plenty of ultra-cons getting knocked up out of wedlock...

I have heard that Rex Johnson (IF this is the same "Pastor Johnson" Sethern is talking about) is a fine man. I have also heard that he lost his whole family in an automobile wreck maybe some 30 years ago. That is a hard chunk to swallow. I would have a real hard time saying anything negative against this man. It is God's grace that he is still preaching the Word and ministering to people. You can preach your guts out to people, but they will make their own choices about what they do in life and it is not the pastor's fault.

Like I said earlier, there are many OPs having babies out of wedlock and committing adultery ...some are daughters and sons of preachers. Not a charismatic thing.

I should clarify this! When I say we talk particulars I am saying issues and beliefs which may define conservative, moderate or liberal.

When it comes to naming ministers it's a fine line. Discretion should be used if you choose to name a minister.

True Hoovie, because rumors get started so easily and innocent people get hurt by those rumors.
