I am only at the 30:20 marker. But, thus far, they are talking about the violence, a journalist being kidnapped, etc. They are against the Russian invasion.

One young woman is saying that the English are getting second hand information.

They young woman at 1:03 marker is saying that the people feel this has already been decided by the questioning - the "funny way they word the questions on the ballot...only two options": Do you want to join Russia or do you want to become a separate country?

They don't give you the option of wanting things to stay the same, she says.

Thanks PO for the summary. I've talked to my Ukrainian friend who has family living in the Crimea region. She tells me that everyone is very concerned, but that most in the Crimea want to be part of Russia, as most there in that region speak Russian as their native language. She says that the Ukraine government, in her mind, is corrupt, and evil, and stealing from the people. She is very worried about her family, and about her native country, and doesn't want war. She believes that Putin wants war, and wants to take the whole country of Ukraine back under Russian rule.

Russia has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, and with Putin being a strong leader, and realizing he has got the upper hand in this situation, he is not budging. I hate to see another war, but it looks like we are days away from it.

Kept, I have a political friend who is from Russia and she believes that Putin is a great guy.

Putin is a very strong leader, and I'm sure Russians probably love him. Doesn't make what he is doing right though.
