So, did you sit on the porch of the movie theatre and engage with people exiting or did you just hand out tracts?

I don't have to see the movie to have an open door of communication.

i think your logic is flawed. I could open doors of communication by walking into all manner of places that I will not under any circumstances go... Im just not subjecting myself to that.

Likewise, communication doest not need to begin because I have invested my time and energy in something that I know going in is appauling to my spirit.

This is the same argument that is often made by those in the world about marriage. They say you need to live with the person before you get married to know if you are compatible. Live with... Be sexaully active with.... before committing to the person before God...

The argument that sin should be experienced to gain understanding of the sacred is an old argument but it is no more valid today than it ever has been.

What did paul say? Should we sin, so we can experience Grace? God forbid!

peace to you my brother...

It's not the biblical story itself. I'd never bill it as such.
He is in control of the world, but He doesn't force me to line up with that. When I make my own decisions, I am the one in control.

It's just a story. God can use anything He chooses, even a hallucinogenic tea. In fact, it's just a detail that's in agreement with ancient culture. Hallucinogens were often vehicles for religious experience. Again, it's just a story. I'd use it to say, "It was a cool movie, but this is how the Bible says it really happened..."
Hey, don't you have an angel you named Joe? I'm just thinking that your perspective might be suspect.

LOL!

We need to get over our weak stomach regarding polygamy... it was the way of life in ancient cultures (God ordained or not). As for Ham's antics in the film, Ham isn't known for his decency or morality in Scripture either.
A man supporting polygamy. Who would have thunk?

It does sound strange. However, the Bible doesn't mention the animals sleeping or not sleeping. It could have happened in several different manners. I see that as creative license. And as for the story... who created the incense? God. Did God give direction to use the incense, or was it merely depicted as common knowledge of the day? If so, doesn't God use incense in the temple? A strange concept, yes. A reason to get our panties in a bunch, no.
I'm sure you want to legalize pot, right?

First, is this part of an ancient myth incorporated into this drama? Ancient myths even depict Noah as a "city king" according to some scholars.

It's Hollywood.

It's just a story produced by Hollywood.
I don't care if the story is produced by Hollywood. Why do we keep making up excuses for them? They have the power and have used that power to change the trajectory of this country. They have great influence in this country. We shouldn't make excuses for them.

The depiction of this movie is on a much grander scale than taking a politician's words out of context, which is totally annoying and destructive on the political field. Even in that, it does great harm to our country.

When The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was over, someone stood up at the front of the theater and started preaching! "Just like Aslan died etc. etc. Jesus etc. . . ."

Was that you, Aquila?

The Narnia Chronicles is an allegory based on Bible themes such as - death, burial and resurrection, the law, and spiritual warfare. By that, it doesn't distort the story of Jesus Christ nor take the Bible out of context.

God is always in control, even when we think we make our own decisions.

If I am not in obedience to His Word and His Will, I am controlling my own life at that point. That doesn't mean He loses total control of the world or my life in the end. But, there are times where we can take our life into our own hands.
