it isn't necessary that you agree, guys. On anything--except maybe that Christ is Lord, imo. Peace
Apparently Paul did not think disagreeing about a matter was acceptable, and neither does the Lord, for he wrote,m saying,

"... Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, NOT having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and WITHOUT blemish." (Ephesians 5:25-27).

When brethren are in disagreement about any doctrine of the church it represents a "spot," a "wrinkle, or a "blemish" which stands in desperate NEED of correction. In the words of I Corinthians 11:19 Paul advises that divisions among brethren indicates the presence of "heresies among you." Certainly such things CANNOT be allowed to prevail among God's chosen people.

Sean, you've become so irrevocably persuaded that your pretrib rapture doctrine is correct and without flaws of any type, you have literally shut the door to anyone, even God Himself, from persuading you otherwise. In that process you do more harm than good to the teachings of the scriptures concerning the matter than you can even imagine. Time will prove you wrong, of that I am assured, but by then it will be too late for the damage will have already been done,

Re: We Gentiles are running out of time

We are in darkness, and grope toward Light, tho. I am sorely convinced that no one person has everything right. We all touch a part of an elephant, so to speak. I refuse to believe that the Holy Spirit would let a sincere seeker stray too far. My guess is that our largest doctrinal divisions amount to less than a hill of beans to God. Lima beans.

I have this theory that the Bible is a series of ambiguities, designed for anyone who thinks themselves a true believer to burn off any disagreement with others who seek Christ, also. The more i learn, the less i know.

also, "the darkness" having been on the face of the deep, this likely is not describing the sun's ignition, or whatever, but has spiritual implications. So let's say several million years?

it can def be said that we have one world gov now; and that one cant buy or sell without the mark...hmm, might be another thread!

A majority opinion does NOT make a "heresy" valid! If that were true, then the "Trinnies" are right and we "Oneness" folks have it all wrong!

Not only God say "let there be light" but "and light was".

Nothing to indicate millions of years between he said that and when it happened.

Re: We Gentiles are running out of time

There is nothing to indicate that we have one world government right now tho, either; and yet i could argue that we do. But let's just stick to "and there was light" describing the sun's ignition. You say we have no indication that millions of years may have passed (in the physical plane; God is outside of time), which is true. However, we also have no indication that millions of years did not pass between the two phrases. Again, miracle either way, to me--i can't make a sun!

But i can show many, many other Scriptural examples in which we typically read "instantaneous" which in fact took years. We read from our perspective, which is...very limited, to put it mildly. i submit that "poof" to God can be any number of imaginary time to us.

ok now you are inventing statistics to bolster your argument. Rapture, correctly characterized, seems more a passing fancy of new Christians, wadr. Ezekiel's words seem awfully pointed, to be related to such a general subject as idol worship. Also, this would seem to violate the "step by step" approach to the Kingdom that i now cannot find. The Revelation, isn't it? Regardless, if you are confirmed in your own mind, this is what matters; i have no quarrel there.

well, wadr Paul thought he was supposed to go to Jerusalem and take the Nazarite vow, too; despite much unction from the Holy Spirit to the contrary. One must follow their heart. Hopefully listening to wise council beforehand; but thank God that Christ did not listen to "wise council." Life is not rendered in black and white, i guess.
