I'm stuck. I spent the entire day trying to get everyone out of Fort Lauderdale. Helping those who could not leave. Worked on everyone's generator and never got to getting mine going. Just stowed my tools in a semi safe place. My library I couldn't move. Rare books which will never be able to be replaced. The LORD gives and the LORD takes away, blessed is the Name of the LORD.

Bennihanna,
I am praying for you and your family's safety. I really hate you did not get out while you had a chance. My son in law's boss made fun of him on Wednesday because he was evacuating his family. Called him a rookie, etc but then by Friday morning that man wanted to evacuate his family and it was too late.
They are doing a great job trying to keep tanker trucks rolling to refill gas stations but the amount of fuel needed to get all those people out is incredible plus the going is very slow with so many people on the road. I read this morning that 5.6 million people have been ordered to evacuate. Even without a lot of them doing so enough have that there is almost gridlock on the roads.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I hope they aren't still in gridlock when the storm hits. That would suck.

I have brothers who have are generational South Floridians. NONE would ever call a northerner a rookie because they want to escape from a hurricane. Especially the Mother of all Storms. The thing is I had to repeat myself over and over again. This isn't anything anyone now living in South Florida has even remotely experienced. Monday a brother and I were driving in the truck talking about the unnamed storm. This storm condition was at 100% probability of formation leaving the Cape Verde Islands. Within a blink we both said "1935 Labor Day Storm" Which was a killer and a record holder.
We also talked about how some people say the government can control the weather. Which would beg the question who was controlling the weather in 1935? So, the whole controlling the weather through Royal Raymond Rife technology is (in my opinion, baloney). Also Global Warming? 1935, 1927, no, no cars or "carbon footprint" like we have today. Cow's Flatulence? NO.
Warming and cooling of the planet runs in cycles, and volcanos play a huge part in how that goes.
While my wife I have a huge collection of rare books, we are ready to cut our losses. The chickens I just wanted to be safe, and then leave with my wife. Yet, something came up that slowed me down. Plus working on everyone else's houses boarding them up, working on generators. Had one individual show me his expensive generator which hadn't be started in years since Andrew. I open the gas tank and the float was rusted away and the tank was filled with rusted sludge. I helped everyone who needed assistance because they were being left behind. Especially a brother in his 80s who when I offered to take him and his 4 cats out of the state he said no. I had to stand there and look at his old weather worn with age home. My friends who are homeless wouldn't go to any shelters because they tried it and found it to be a bad situation. I told them to make it to the parking garages and stay in the stairwells. This storm isn't not going to be friendly, and we don't REALLY know where she is going. I lived down here long enough to know that a meteorologist does more guessing then fact-ing. Chickens stopped laying Wednesday, cats started sleeping by the front and back doors. I don't know how this will all play out when its over. But we are supposed to be battered for 5 hours until she moves. That's a lot of hammer strikes. Keep everyone Left Behind in your prayers.
In JESUS NAME
Brother EB

Roofs get ripped off at 145 miles per hour. It would be raining guns.
Looters started last night, hitting all the houses that people had left. Some even had U Haul moving trucks.

I remember the good times we had together.
Looking forward to have more.
Pray hard, because the hammer is coming down, and it is in the hand of the King. May His Mercy endure forever in Jesus name.

You are a stranger and a pilgrim in the land in which you live.
Your allegiance and loyalty is to a King and kingdom you are yet to see.
This storm is the opening salvo of that conquering King.

I can only wait on His mercy. A mercy I don't deserve, a mercy I can never earn, but a mercy I must never take for granted. The LORD gave me everything, and it is all His. It was just on loan to me. So, Paul and Job said it best, we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?
