Now, I DVR a few shows, and watch them when I have time. I can't stand the noise if I'm trying to talk to the family.
haha. I remember those days! Me too!

And it's not just UPC people. I remember as a teen I went to a teen retreat and there was this Amish/Mennonite kid there. He spent the ENTIRE week in the rec room GLUED to the TV! Me? There was a cute Nazarene girl that distracted me.

OMG! Will you guys give us a break! Nobody is bashing anybody. We're just talking here! Stop the whining, please!

I LOVE the UPC even though I'm no longer a part of it. The UPC did great things for me and I appreciate my heritage. It's ok for people to make comments about their experience w/out people getting offended. It'd be much more helpful if you'd relax and allow yourself to laugh at yourself. Otherwise you come across as dour and uptight.

I wanted to let you all know that the film will be released next spring on DVD and it will have a small theatrical run in a handful of cities that are TBD. It will also run on the Sundance Channel starting next fall. I hope all those who want to see it will get a chance to. We have a website now as well: audienceofonemovie.com

So along with the above shameless promotion, I'm also shamelessly writing to perhaps get some "market research." We've had some favorable reviews from Christian web-based movie critics as well as the occasional compliment from Christians after festival screenings, but we're not sure how the successful the film will be if we try to market it to Christians. Along with that, we're wondering if the Pentecostal community would be interested in the film or not given Richard's controversial place within the community.

Any thoughts you have on this would be much appreciated. And if you belong to a church that you think might enjoy hosting a screening of the film, let me know as we may try doing some promotional screenings around the time of the DVD release.

Finally, if any of you have any questions about the film, I'd be happy to try to answer them.

Thank you for your time and I apologize in advance if my barging into your forum is not welcome.

Best,
Matt
Oh, bring it to Austin again, pleeeease! I missed it at SXSW! Of course I'll see it on Sundance, maybe buy a DVD, but I bet the theatrical experience would be special. The Paramount would be awesome, or the Alamo Draft House, oh yeah baby!

What led you to make the movie? What were your thoughts about Richard before and After the movie? Do you still communicate with him?
Do you have a religious background?

Thanks,

Keith
