In my opinion, that is "true" holiness, not the superficial, outward stuff.
You would probably stand out as a Christian.... Not specifically as a UPCer.

What's funny (and ironic) is the leaders that chime in here (I'm glad they do), but then bash all the dissidents on AFF collectively, unaware how many of AFF posters are licensed UPC brothers, and probably the guys they slap on the back and many conferences and love.

Slow down. It may be your assistant pastor that has the same sentiments. Have an answer for every man.

I didn't read the book myself (no reason to) but have read several reviews. The womans daughter see's a man with long(er) hair and tells her mother that he looks funny. The mother says "God made him look funny" <because of the long hair>. I am stating the scene verbatim based on hearsay only.

Very good point.

AND....why AFF allows usernames instead of real names.

Yes mam. I have had folks come up to me knowing I was a Holiness man by how I dress and my side part haircut.

True. But, with one possible exception (pray for someone), nothing on that list is at all specific to either "holiness folk" or Christians. (Some cynics might even say they tend to indicate the opposite! The reality often falls short of the ideal.) Even the exception could apply to people of many religions, and not just Christian (though I haven't actually seen it, that I can recall).

So, side parts are part of holiness?
