Yes, it reminds me of how charismatic originally only meant having the Spirit of God inside you as on the day of Pentecost, but was changed over time to be more associated with other things that the movement was associated with that are totally apart from that belief. Now it is a bad word amongst conservatives. Words change definitions over time with people until they lost all original meaning altogether. lol Sad, but true.
