If a person has any portion of their identity in the 'gay community', then they do not have their identity in Jesus Christ and are attempting to compromise Christianity with the 'gay community'. We are dealing with life styles that are entirely in contradiction. A person may not have a foot in both. He is either a Christian or he is identified by his sexuality.
