I believe that there comes a time when the child is morally responsible for their own salvation, and parental authority must yield. It would be at the point that the teenager is willing to suffer the familial fallout as the price to pay for w walk with God. The amount of fallout will depend on the level of antipathy toward the Apostolic life held by the parents. The question is whether or not a church and the child is willing to take an unpopular stand. A sadly complex question.
