I am sure it saved him some trouble. Either way the point still stands, Miriam was usurping the authority of the office of Moses. yes, just like her brother Aaron, and they were BOTH called out for it in front of the entire congregation
Once again I think it behooves us all to remember that when God uses us that we must not think to highly of ourselves and seek to usurp authority, whether male or female. Hopefully we can agree on this.
