Willful and determined ignorance. You're all acting like monkeys afraid of fire, or Catholic bishops who are terrified of a telescope.
It's sad really. Because both the Bible and science agree. The sins of the fathers can be visited upon a people generations after the fact, because those sins remain in them. There is no good thing in our flesh. It is fallen and corrupt, filled with evil desires and impulses. The desires of the flesh will indeed lead to bondage and eternal damnation. But one can be set free from this bondage through spiritual regeneration provided by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. One can be made a new creature and be freed from all affliction and infirmity of the flesh. One can gain strength through the Holy Spirit to overcome the flesh and any desires that come from it.
Science is only now starting to confirm what Paul taught us nearly 2,000 years ago.
