I do not think that was Paul's point. As a Pharisee of the Pharisees, no doubt Paul regarded himself perfect according to the Law. But as a born again Christian, Paul discovered that God demands an authenticity of holiness of heart and being that goes well beyond the dictates of the Law. A life governed by Spirit led agape. (
