Re: Do you believe this applies to ex-upc and libe

Yes, to the extent that ex-upc, liberal, charismatic, and other such terms define, in the conservative's lexicon, people that have become not only carnal and/or prideful, but practitioners of guile and treachery among the faithful.

The trouble with your question is the widely ambiguous definition for the terms liberal and ex-UPC. Some folks leave the UPC to flee strictness, some to flee offense, and some to flee compromise. Next to some of our independent brethren, I'm a liberal. I am probably in practice a moderate, because I wasn't raised in a Pentecostal church so I tend to approach things with an open mind (or attempt to anyhow). But I consider myself a conservative because I believe that before a person moves a line or position, before they change a method, they should first investigate whether the status quo was in place for good reason. It oftentimes is.
