I have encountered many Mexicans that speak English as good as I do, and they were never once mistaken for drunk. Have met Chinese folks that spoke their own language around me. So I would suggest that your interpretation is not correct, as there is not any reason for anyone to believe that someone that either spoke my language, or spoke their native tongue, would be mistaken for drunk or intoxicated. Your reasoning is unreasonable. You are simply fooling yourself if you think there is any logic to your argument.
