well, the pastors I have announced Wed. night service at the Sunday service(s)... for sure.
I have not had a pastor who stated that you would go to hell for missing a wed. night service.
I have family who are baptist and they have wed. night services. It would be fair to say that my pastors have suggested that being at every service is a good thing and have encurraged that kind of participation. It would not be fair to suggest that they put undo pressure on people to be at church every time the doors were open.
There is a difference between "this would be good" and "you are risking eternal damnation".
I have heard the former but never the later.
