Okay, drama is all about creating impressions on the audience, and if you want to create the idea that she was an adulterous woman, e.g., at least something of a hoochie mama, then I sort of agree with the director.
However, she wasn't a prostitute--she was caught in adultery. So I agree that she probably just dressed normally. I think the look would be better achieved if she wore something that looked like an under-dress without the robes and mantles that went over their clothing (all the draping), and bare feet. (Like she was just pulled out of bed)
