Re: The Presence of God
I like sitting in the woods on a fallen tree/log enjoying the serenity and beauty of God's creation. There are also times where I've been so overwhelmed by God's presence (very hard to describe) while driving that I had to pull off the road.
I'm not a runner, dancer, shouter, and I very seldom weep. Some would say I'm a bump on a log when it comes to modern Pentecostal worship.
I can relate to the man commonsense speaks of because I too am involved in the music ministry and I have been told quite the same thing. I play trumpet, and I can speak to God with the trumpet in a language no human can comprehend unless the Spirit translates it to them. And in that language, I do worship, with all my heart, soul and ability, I worship.
To me it's really not all about feelings. It's the certainty of knowing that God is always right here, no matter what. It's the certainty of knowing that one day, I will see Him as He is. God bless...
