When tens of millions of people here start shooting $10 donations to help the starving and homeless here then maybe I will be more open to sending money to help foreign countries when the hype machine gets moving like it is for Haiti.

And there it is again, the part no one likes. The part that no one thinks is right. It's not the fact that you are only giving here. If you are giving to people here that maybe no one else would while there are millions of people being given to in Haiti. No one can fault you for that. However, if you are making a principle that until we have no more poor then I'm not going to help the poor anywhere else, then that is not a good principle to have.

It really comes down to your motive, and your not conveying that you have a very good one about Haiti. Maybe you do, I don't know. But I know that you aren't getting it across that you do.
