It would have been impossible for the Sanford PD to have access to this young man's school records so they didn't have the prejudicial knowledge of the plastic bag with traces of weed in his book bag.
They had a dead boy and his killer was a guy who already had a criminal record and they took the word of the criminal that night.
No, the Sanford PD did not execute due diligence or practice good judgment that night.
